about

original cd text (2003)

osF (pronounced like and deriving from the hebrew word 'osef' which means collection and/or compilation) is a hand made CD.

Except for the computer with which I recorded the songs and created a few sounds, it is an analog compilation composed for the great sweet (analog) 'casiotone 403' synthesizer and Shira (me) :)

I composed all songs wrote all lyrics (soon to be uploaded) played all instruments (well.. - pushed all buttons in order for it to sound like different instruments), recorded, mastered (hmm.. there's a reason why this cd is called the LOW-TECH compilation) and produced everything.
and sang. of course:)

osF was created in the sweet little sound studio of my uni class in Vienna over the period of the last 3 months (more or less) in which me myself I and the 403 spent sleepless nights for your (and mostly our) musical pleasure.
It was my oasis in the desert of machines which is my class space.. lots of the songs are 'siblingsongs' - cut from the same sessions. the one exception (sound and concept wise) is someoneday which is a not-to-be-recognized version of the Gershwins 'the man I love'. someoneday ('sod') also has a video (though I like the song more, to be honest). 'sh' also has a video. this was all a part of my semester presentation btw.

ok - time for acknowledgements - I would like to sincerely thank: God, my family, heike , and thomas felder for making it possible for me to sing and record; and for christian for his beloved casio-tone.
